We are excited for you to visit and eager to meet you! When you arrive at Central Baptist Church of Winchester, you’ll be greeted by friendly faces and helping hands. We’ll be glad to usher you into our Sanctuary, guide you downstairs to “Kids Central” or get your little one settled into our nursery. It will be our joy to assist and serve you!

worship

We would be delighted for you to join us as we gather for worship each Sunday morning at 10:45 AM. We will joyfully give our attention to the Scriptures. We will pray for God’s presence to be powerful among us. We will sing hymns and songs—both historic and modern—with varying styles of musical accompaniment. You’ll encounter believers in casual clothes as well as those who dress with a bit more formality for Sunday. Come as you are but come with expectancy to hear from the Lord!

Above all, we will focus our hearts and minds upon the truth of God’s Word and prepare to respond with obedience, joy and faith. The Gospel it proclaims is “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.” (Romans 1:16) We are not ashamed to declare this “Good News!” We invite you to come and join us in our devotion to the Word and celebration of the Gospel! Hope to see you this Sunday!

sermon series

JOIN EACH SUNDAY THIS DECEMBER AS WE CONSIDER THE INCARNATION!

“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14) The Son of God, the Heir to Heaven’s throne, took on flesh? He did so in obedience to His Father’s will to redeem all those who would trust in Him for salvation. Salvation from what? From sin, rebellion, lostness, hopelessness and eternal judgement. “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.” (John 3:16-17)

How should we respond to this “good news of great joy that will be for all people”? (Luke 2:11) Join us this December as we consider the right response to this good news—The Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We can respond with Hope, with Peace, and with Joy because “The true Light, which gives light to everyone has come into the world.” (John 1:9) Jesus Christ, IS the true Light and He calls us “out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9)

We look forward to you being with us this Christmas season as look to the Christ, Who came into our world to save so that every weary soul might rejoice in Him!

nursery & Calming Room (birth — toddler)

Our nursery and calming room is located to the left of the foyer as you enter through our main santcuary doors. Nursery staff will be present to check your child in prior to the start of our Sunday worship service.

Preschool and Children (walkers — 5th grade)

Our newly renovated facility for children is located on the lower level, to the right of “Faith Hall.” Greeters will be present and happy to help you find your way! We are conscientious about keeping the children’s area completely secure with all outside doors remaining locked at all times.

Check-in and Security

Your children are precious to you and also to us.  Their safety is our #1 priority. In order to provide a secure environment, we require background/sex abuse checks for all of our teachers and volunteers.  In addition, we use a Child Check-in system for security and parent notification, if needed.  You will receive a guardian receipt when your child is checked in. It will be required for your child’s release from our care. Only adults (age 18 and older) will be permitted to pick up children at the time of dismissal.

When dropping your children off, you will be asked to fill out a visitor form which will give us general information about you and your child.
